Buy a 10lb tube of beef! Our preferred raw dog food supplier charges $0.90 to $1.00 per pound of beef, and in mushing season, the dogs are fed 15-20 lbs of raw food a day (in ADDITION to kibble)! It comes packaged in 10lb tubes for my convenience, since managing the giant 50lb blocks is difficult and they don't fit in my freezers well. Ziggy was notorious for getting into the meat buckets as I left them to thaw, and chowing down to her heart's content.
